The Languages Department has been in existence since the inception of the college from the year 2017 - 2018 under the efficient and experienced faculty members the Department had their Under graduate degree course. The development of students’ communication skills is given major importance while planning the action plan. Literary works in these languages are given importance to give an overview into linguistic culture and heritage.

The department of Tamil offers U.G., Foundation Tamil for the first and second year student and non major courses for the first year students. The department stays active throughout the year with many literary programmes such as debates, oratory, intercollegiate competitions, panel discussions, national conferences, and arranges periodical guest lectures.

“Narumugai” is the literary association of the department encourages the literary interest and language skills of the students.
