The college expects every student uphold the discipline of the college both within and outside the college premises.
The college works from Monday to Saturday for all courses.
Cell Phones and electronic devices are not allowed in the campus.
Every Student should be cleanly and decentlydressed. Boys should not attend the College wearing "T" Shirts or other banians with indecent slogans printed on it. Girls should wear Chudithar or Sarees.
Every Student should be present in thecollege 5 minutes before the commencement. They should be present in the class rooms at the stroke of the first bell in the morning and evening sessions. The late corners will not be permitted to attend classes of the day. Habitual late corners will be fined.
The students should be have with theTeaching, Non-teaching staff and the co-students in well disciplined manner.
Being a college of co-education, the boys andgirls should keep a moral behaviour with each other
Every student should salute the members of the staff on the occasions of his/her first meeting in the college premises.
When a member of the staff enters the classroom, the students shall rise and keep standing till they are required to sit or the member of the staff takes seat. Students must stand up when a visitor enters their classes.
Student who comes to his/her class after theroll call is taken, shall enter the class room with the permission of the Lecturer in charge of the classes.
Every student shall sit in the place assigned tohim / her in the class room,
Students who have leisure on any working dayshall remain in the reading room.
Loitering on the Verandah, disfiguring ordamaging furniture and writing on walls or desks are strictly prohibited. Students violating this rule will be fined heavily.
Students attending lectures in the classrooms or working in the laboratories or doing practical in the computer centres or attending debate in the college premises shall maintain perfect silence.
Students getting in or getting out of the classroom or moving from one class room to another shall do so in an orderly manner without making any noise.
Students are expected to read notices postedon the college notice boards and ignorance of any notice thus posted will not be accepted as an excuse for failure to comply with.
No meeting or debate of any kind shall beconducted by students in the college premises without the written permission of the Principal.
Students are advised not to align themselveswith any political party or take part in any political agitation_
Students are not allowed to make complaint in a body or address any authorities in the collective petition. Such combined action is subversive of good order.
If there is any grievance to a student, he / shemay give it in writing to the Principal.
No subscription of any kind shall be collectedby any student without the written permission of the Principal.
No student shall organise or join strike of anykind. Any student who contravenes this rule will be expelled from the college
Any act of misbehaviour or indiscipline willentail suspension and expulsion from the college.
All students must compulsorily attend theWeekly Tests held on all Saturdays without fail.
Smoking within the college premises andusing Pan-Parak, gutka, chewing gum and alcohols are strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will be viewed very seriously.
There are several ways in which students' grievances are addressed in Prince Shri Venkateshwara Arts & Science College.The Principal is the first and final authority whom any student can approach directly in case of any complaints such as ragging, caste discrimination by SC / ST students or any other.
A ragging prevention committee comprising of the Principal, senior professor, Local Inspector of Police and 4 students representatives has been instituted and the committee members' phone numbers are provided in the college handbook for easy access. The fresher's are informed of the same during their orientation programmes and also encouraged to use suggestion boxes kept on campus to bring any offensive behaviour to the notice of the authorities.
Students should be very prompt in theirattendance to the college. As per the University rules and regulations, the students having attendance below the norms prescribed will not be permitted to write the University Examinations.
No student shall absent himself/ herself from the class without applying for leave. All leave applications in the prescribed form should be endorsed by the Parent / Guardian / Warden.
All leave applications duty filled in must be handed over to the Head of the Department in person or through any person authorised by him / her or be sent by post, so as to reach the Head of the Department a day before leave begins.
Students residing in private buildings(unauthorised hostels or in rooms without guardian) must get their leave application forms countersigned by the respective Head of the Department in the place of Parent / Guardian / Warden.
Usually leave will be granted if applied in time.Medical Certificate has to be produced for leave extending for 3 days or more.
If a student absents for more than 10 days,his / her name will be struck off. The student has to get readmitted for continuing the study, by paying admission fees.

All cases of absence without giving leave ap-plication will be reported to the Parents / Guardians along with monthly progress Report.A student abstaining without permission dur-ing one hour of the day will be considered as absent for half a day.
A student requiring leave for a portion of aperiod must apply to the Lecturer in person before the class begins. Other application shall be addressed to the Head of the Department.
Absence from the examinations / monthly test on Medical grounds must be supported by a Medical certificate issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner.
Truants from classes and long absentees willbe dealt with severely. The punishment may involve suspension or removal from the college or withholding appearance for the University Examinations.
Fine Should be paid in the college officewithin 10 days from the date of notification of the fine imposed on the students.
After this period defaulter's name will bestruck off. Re-admission will be considered only on payment of all dues to the college.
Removal of the names from the Roll shall entail forfeiture of attendance till the date ofre-admission.
